LEE DARROWPRESENTS THE ORIGINAL

STAGE HYPNOSIS SAFETY CLASS
WHY a Safety Class?

In 2004, Lee, himself, was injured, slightly, while volunteering as a subject in someone else's stage hypnosis show.  It was from this incident - and from Lee's background in hypnosis, convention security work and as a licensed insurance agent in Illinois, that wrote he the first book dealing with safety for stage hypnotists.  In 2005,
Lee wrote his second book, which was devoted solely to stage hypnosis safety and taught the first course ever devoted completely to the topic of stage hypnosis safety at the National Guild of Hypnotists convention, near Boston.

What will I get out of this course?

With over 40 years of stage experience as well as his certification as a hypnotist and licenses as an insurance professional (in Illinois), Lee will cover not only the basics of things like preventing slips, falls and phobic reactions from your volunteers, but he will cover many things that most hypnotists would never think to cover - things like the hazards of working outdoors, bugs, birds and other creatures and even a discussion on the controversial issue of working an "adult" type of show.

You will come away with a thorough understanding of and ways to deal with not only the common safety hazards that face your volunteers, but also the safety hazards that face YOU, the performer!  And that means everything from jealous spouses to weather conditions to recognizing unsafe stage conditions before you ever go o on stage!

YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Lee Darrow is a lifelong student and practitioner of hypnosis, both as a stage performer and as a personal improvement consultant.  He performed his first state hypnosis show in 1967 while still in high school and has continued to this day, performing for the National Guild of Hypnotists convention several times, two World Science Fiction Conventions, and as the promotional hypnotist for Sandals & Beaches Resorts for over eight years, touring for them, internationally.

Lee is a Certified Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists. Lee taught the first, ever, course devoted solely to stage hypnosis safety at their 2006 convention.

Lee has received training from MindSight Consulting in Michigan City, IN, Spectrum Psychological Services in Ann Arbor, MI, Eastern Michigan University, Northeastern Illinois University, CareUnit of DuPage County, IL, Parkside Hosiptal, and has attended numerous professional seminars and workshops at professional hypnosis and psychological conferences.

Lee has performed in an incredibly wide variety of venues over the years, ranging from shows for the Counsul General to Argentina and private parties for W. Clement Stone and Robert Heinlein to fairs, bar and bat mitzvahs, university orientation shows, post prom and grad night lock-ins, night clubs ranging from Planet Hollywood to Detroit riverfront bars, cruises, conventions, special presentations for the national convention of the American College of Surgeons, McDonald's Y2K party at their corporate headquarters and even two World Science Fiction Conventions, not to mention a "lifestyles" convention that came as a bit of a shock to him (and which will be discussed in the class)!  Lee has also entertained  Carlos Mencia, the cast of Star Trek, Dennis Rodman, Oprah Winfrey and has been a mainstay performer at both the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks pre-game shows for over ten years.  Needless to say, his client list goes on and on, including Serta Mattress, BBD&O, KPMG, Weber Grill, the American Cancer Society, Medieval Times, Northwestern University, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, DePaul, Siemans, Microsoft, CDW, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra among many others.

His first book, written in 2004, covered a multiplicity of points that pertain to stage hypnotists, including safety, audience management and even how to deal with agents.  After his minor injury, in 2004, during a stage hypnosis show, Lee authored the SECOND book, in 2005, on stage hypnosis safety, this one focused only on stage hypnosis safety and liability issues.
